Lindsay Lohan Rehab Update: Actress Can’t Leave Premises, ADD Medication Questioned
Lindsay Lohan (WireImage)Lindsay Lohan
is securely tucked away in rehab at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho
Mirage, California, and it doesn't sound like she’ll be leaving anytime
soon.
"It is understood by the Betty Ford Center that [Lohan] is to remain
on the premises for the duration of her 90-day stay in treatment," reads
a document filed
with the L.A. Superior Court. As part of Lohan's plea agreement, she
must complete treatment at a lockdown facility for her 90-day
court-ordered rehab stint. This is the seventh time the 26-year-old
actress has been in rehab.Lohan is currently allowed to take the medication Adderall to treat her Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder; however, TMZ reports that doctors are evaluating Lohan's original diagnosis and the efficacy of the drug. The "Mean Girls" actress admitted during a recent interview with Piers Morgan that she takes this prescription medication regularly.
"I have severe ADD," Lohan told Morgan. "I can’t stand still. So I take Adderall for that, it calms me. I know people who take it to stay up, or girls who take it to supposedly stay slim because it kills your appetite. But I eat all the time. I just take it to stay calm. It works well for me."
During that same interview, Lohan called rehab "pointless" while claiming she is "not a huge drinker" and does not do illegal drugs (anymore). You can check out the full interview on The Daily Mail.
