Michelle Obama Calls Her Bangs ‘Irritating’ – and She’s Not the Only Celeb Over the Hair Trend

Michelle Obama earlier this month (Alex Wong/Getty Images)Michelle Obama's bangin' new hairstyle nearly upstaged inauguration weekend, but the chic look may soon become a footnote in FLOTUS style history.

The 49-year-old appears to have reached her bangs breaking point – the beauty dilemma many women face when the fringe awkwardly starts growing out.
"It's fun, but I'm like a girl: 'What's next?" the first lady said about her hair during an interview with "Entertainment Tonight." "The bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They’re starting to grow out. [They're] getting a little irritating. But it’s okay.”
When she debuted the look in January – around the time her husband, President Barack Obama, was sworn in for his second term in office – it made big headlines. Despite all that was going on, even the leader of the free world felt the power of her haircut.
"To address the most significant event of the weekend, I love her bangs," the President said at an inauguration eve gala. "She looks good. She always looks good."
Mrs. Obama later talked about her bangs on the "Rachael Ray Show," calling them "my midlife crisis."
Kim Kardashian is over her bangs as well. (Instagram)"I couldn't get a sports car,” she joked. “They won't let me bungee-jump. So instead, I cut my bangs."
While the hair trend is all the rage with celebs – LeAnn Rimes, Snooki, and even Suri Cruise and Justin Bieber recently joined the club – Mrs. Obama isn't the only one who already seems over the look. Kim Kardashian, who cut her hair in early March, seems done, too.
