Arsenal Transfer Radar

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is preparing a £70 million transfer raid on the German Bundesliga in the summer, as he looks to overhaul his current side.

It has been widely reported that Wenger has been given a significant transfer war chest to make sure the Gunners' trophy drought doesn't continue, and he is now ready to break his transfer policy by signing big names for big fees.

On Wenger's radar are Bundesliga trio Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski and Lars Bender, according to The Daily Mail.
The Borussia Dortmund duo are hot property around Europe, with several clubs interested in Lewandowski in particular, and it looks certain that the £25 million striker will be on the move in the summer.
As for Gotze, he is one of the most exciting prospects in European football, as the 20-year-old continues to make a name for himself with some sensational performances both for club and country.
Bender is also a highly-rated midfielder and is the defensive midfielder that Wenger is looking for as he continues to look for Alex Song's replacement.

As for the players currently at the club, Thomas Vermaelen, Bacary Sagna, Tomas Rosicky, Gervinho, Wojciech Szczesny and Per Mertesacker could join Andrey Arshavin, Sebastien Squillaci, Marouane Chamakh, Nicklas Bendtner, Andre Santos and Johan Djourou in a summer cull.
